Succeeds Prize Finalist badgeThomas MacLaren School is a finalist for The Succeeds Prize award for Transformational Impact in a High School. The Succeeds Prize, the state’s most prestigious awards and recognition event, honors the transformational impact of Colorado’s public schools and educators. Five winners will be announced at a live reveal celebration on Oct. 3, 2017, with cash prizes totaling more than $100,000.

“It’s an honor to be in the running for The Succeeds Prize,” said Mary Faith Hall, Head of School. “We have had a genuinely transformational impact in a high school, as seen in our students’ record-setting academic achievement and in our schoolwide culture of goodness, truth, and beauty. Thomas MacLaren School set out to build a genuine community of learners, and we are bringing it into being, one teacher and one student at a time. We’re very grateful to be recognized for our work, and we look forward to recognizing the fine work of our colleagues from across Colorado.”

The Succeeds Prize is a collaborative effort between 9NEWS and Colorado Succeeds, a non-partisan business coalition focused on education issues. Governor John Hickenlooper, Lt. Governor Donna Lynne, Governor Bill Ritter, and Governor Bill Owens will serve as honorary hosts of the inaugural event.
